Lord Erni's Sayings (Part II)

Hey guys, this is the last part of Lord Erni's sayings... I wasn't able to post it last week since it was the "Ginebra" week...

ON LIFE

Lord Erni's Sayings (Part I)

As I do typing jobs for Lord Erni’s book, I stumbled upon some of his quotations and sayings… (Some of these were with sources unknown, but most of these came from him) He might not be Confucius or Mahatma Gandhi, but I find these useful. Let me share some to you.


LORD ERNI

ON LEADERS AND STAFFS

“The ‘path’ has to be laid by the leaders; and the staff has to be assisted in searching the ‘goal’.”

“No orientation to develop a sense of pride and loyalty on the parts of the new staff.”


ON OFFICE PROCEDURES

“Improve your abilities as way of preparing for bigger responsibilities in the future. Would you? Why should you say no?”

“No orientation to avoid future misunderstanding about the office policies, rules, procedures and the like.”

“Description should be from the top to down, rather than the reverse.”

“Programs and specific tasks must carried out effectively and efficiently.”


ON LAW AND GOVERNANCE
